But here on Waltham Drome
Happiness ends
Hard to believe
On Christmas night
Our a/c returning from Berlin
Our aircrew almost home
On Xmas night
Are lying dead
In Medical Flight
The Medical Officer
Reflects
All these young lives
And I couldn’t save one
