This will have to be a rush letter I am tired I have just returned from Italy & I could go to sleep now but I want you to get this letter before the weekend as I know you like to receive one if possible How are you darling I hope you are all well, did you manage to get back to sleep the other morning with

Pam, I thought by the look of her she had got up to stay, I missed the bus, but caught the train & was there in good time, quite a change I thought.
I thoroughly enjoyed being at home again, by the way our leave has been brought forward to the 9th so it will not be so long after all, & I am ready.
Well darling I am nearly asleep so cherio [sic] & God Bless you all Give Elaine & Pam a kiss for me.
