PERSONAL. – On Sept. 8 Sergt.-Pilot J. Hanne, son of Mrs. Floyd, Dudley, Tremont Road, who was one of the R.A.F. members who made the raid on the German battleships in German waters, was presented by Sir Kingsley Wood (Air Minister) to H.M. The King, who shook hands with and complimented the airman. Sergt.-Pilot Hanne gave a magnificent performance under heavy fire.
