Royal Air Force Station,
HARWELL
Didcot,
Berks.
17th July, 1942.
Dear Mrs Hannath
I write to offer you my deepest sympathy in the loss you have sustained by the death of your husband. His death occurred in a flying accident in which the aircraft crashed due to one of the engines developing trouble. You will be relieved to know that his death must have been instantaneous.
Your husband will be missed on the station here he was so extremely popular. His loss is one which the Country, and the Service, can ill afford.
Do please accept my most profound sympathy in your bereavement.
I am
Yours Sincerely
