Hello Folks:
Well it is a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in London. I am at the Beaver Club and will soon be leaving for camp. The weather here has been lovely all week.
I spent from Sunday evening last until Friday dinner time at Middle Green. I had a very pleasant holiday lots of good food such as eggs and cream also some horse-back riding which I thoroughly enjoyed. They were quite busy at the farm but there always seems to be plenty of help. They employ 4 men all the time. I helped plant some late potatoes and helped drive 25 cattle about 5 miles up to another pasture.
I have spent the last two days in London seeing the odd picture and spending a lot of my time lying

around the parks sleeping. My other gunner Jim Short and my wag Johnny Mack are with me to-day At present they are touring West Minster [sic] Abbey, I did not join them as I have been there before.
I saw Roy Austin and Bill Harris at Oxford Circus last night. I was supposed to meet them here but they haven't turned up as yet.
I am expecting lots of mail when I get back to camp. It is quite some time since I have heard from anyone. Hope you are quite well and Grant has recovered from his operation.
I showed the folks at Middle Green the family picture I have. Jack said he had no idea that dad would be so bald. He reminds me a lot of Uncle Sid. Jack is very impatient and doesn't like waiting on anyone. When they are going out for the evening, he dresses

quickly, then sits in the car blowing the horn to hurry his wife along. This makes her very irritable and they jankle for the first few miles of the journey. I believe I can recall something of this happening in a Brooks family in Canada.
Have you heard anymore of George Werry? I understand he is here but don't know his address. They haven't heard from him in Middle Green as yet.
I was down to see Mrs. Miller (Molly) for an evening. Her husband was home for 21 day not long ago but had to go back. He gets home 4 times a year. She reminds me a great deal of Aunt Myrtle or Effie. She has 3 children a boy of 12 two girls of 5 and 7. I used to go to town each morning with Jack to take in the milk. We would usually meet

Molly taking the little girl to school on her bicycle. She has a seat on the hind fender which the little sits on and the ride down the front street quite unconcerned. I can't imagine Aunt Myrtle doing this.
Well I must soon close this scribble. Next Sunday I will be writing from camp. I have written to Dora every day for some time now. Hope she is giving you all the news. I’m afraid there isn't much I can tell in my litters [sic]. The news is certainly looking extremely good lately. Sure hope its soon over
To-day is Mothers day, and I am thinking of you mother. Hope to be home for Mothers day next year. I wired you some flowers but am rather doubtful if you receive them. I haven't much faith in some of these organizations. Will say so long for now.
Love
Glenn
