I have great pleasure and confidence in recommending Mr. Robert Baker to an employer. During the last five years I have been in close contact with him both in the classrooms of Farnworth Grammar School and in the meetings of our Scout Troop. As a Patrol Leader he has shown his capacity to lead and manage others;

also the Troop have benefited greatly by his enthusiasm and ideas. His conversation is open, his manner is frank, and his character is thoroughly sound. He has always been well liked among us.
He possesses a high degree of intelligence combined with an unusual degree of originality and freshness of mind. Accordingly I am convinced that not only will he be honest and efficient in the discharge of his duties, but that he will give alert and intelligent service to his employers.
Signed H. Richardson
Asst. Master Farnworth Grammar School.
S.M. 3rd Farnworth Scout Troop.
