As a Flight Engineer, Charles has played a most important part in our struggle against the common enemy & the country is indeed poorer seeing that he is no longer able to continue his hazardous duties. It is earnestly hoped that better news will eventually reach you but should it be that Charles is not a prisoner of war, you may well be proud realising as we do that his efforts have helped to bring nearer the day of victory & peace.
